heritage is...

Vintage fashion is undoubtedly an integral part of French cultural heritage, thanks to the unique greatness of French couture designers, and more personally of mine, as my family history with fashion goes back to the previous century.

The legacy, the heritage, is also your personal relationship with your origins, you ancestors’ baggage.

As far as I’m concerned, my dedication to fashion is directly related to both sides of my family, it’s kind of part of our DNA, whether we like it or not! I obviously chose to endorse it proudly.

I indeed looked for a brand that could reflect both my professional and personal values. Heritage came across as an obvious choice.

CURATED. VINTAGE. COUTURE.

Curated : Every item sold on heritageparis.fr is carefully chosen, authentified, loved for the character, refinement and unicity of it. It’s not a random selection, it’s not a resell platform, it’s the authentic showcase of our pernickety vintage treasure hunts.

Vintage : Heritage proudly and fiercely defends the values conveyed by vintage fashion, the second hand, pre-owned, slow-fashion movement : sustainability, durability of clothing, circular economy, promotion of French couture and handcrafting more broadly.

In a world where fast fashion is causing colossal, direct and collateral damage to populations and the environment, it seems essential to us to counteract this industry by promoting a better way of consuming, regardless of the budget we allocate to our dressing !

Couture: Couture fashion, and especially the vintage one, tells a story above all, the story of the garment we wear, the way it has been crafted, the quality of fabrics, the design details, the time spent designing and tailoring it, the creativity that comes out of it.

Not only the most famous fashion designers were mastering at designing clothes, but anonymous dressmakers, since couture and haute couture have emerged, were doing a marvelous work as well, without the fame they deserved regarding their talent.

At heritage we believe in the designer itself more than the fame. That’s why it seemed so important to us to be able to offer you a wide range of anonymous vintage couture items, some of them as refined and stunning as the most fashionable designer piece.
